Sydney Car Loans Blog: Holden Offering Lifetime Capped Price Servicing on Every Holden Vehicle Since 1948

In an attempt to bring back customers to dealerships and secure repeat business, Holden has introduced capped price servicing in Australia. This scheme commenced on 1st March and will cover more than 2.5 million Holdens nationally. What’s different about this is that it covers all Holdens, even those dating back to 1948!

After their sales fell to their lowest in 21 years, Holden had to come up with something to rise above their competitors including Ford who are going to offer free loan cars to service customers. It seems to be that service is where these car brands will battle it out.

 As a general guide:

  • Service fees for Holden Commodores built from 1978 to 1999 will be capped at $199 per visit
  • Pre-2000 Holdens that aren’t Commodores will be capped at $299
  • Service fees for Holdens built from 2000 onwards will depend on the type of vehicle as well as the service that is due. Each service for the first four services will cost $239 and from then on, the cost will be $299.

“While some owners of classic Holdens may choose to work on their cars themselves, our lifetime capped price servicing program gives every owner of any Holden price certainty and transparency at every Holden dealership in Australia,” says Michael Filazzola, Holden’s executive director of aftersales.

Owners can visit Holden’s website  http://www.holden.com.au/ownership-and-servicing/servicing/lifetime-capped-price-servicing to see the maximum price they’ll pay for their vehicle to be serviced.
